Metal Finishing

Grindingmaster Line Graining Machine
Our Grindingmaster Line graining machine creates a bespoke appearance to the surface of components and also aids de-burring. Due to the nature of the machine, we use it for larger workpieces which would otherwise require an extended amount of time to finish. This helps to keep costs realistic whilst maintaining a high level quality finish. For environmental and cleanliness purposes, the machine is fitted with a dust extraction system.

2 x Vanco Flexiband Abrasive Belt Machines
These machines reduce deburring to a fraction of the time taken by conventional methods. The abrasive belt can be changed in seconds to suit various thicknesses and/or densities of metal. As with other relevant machinery, we have fitted these with dust extractors to aid cleanliness and reduce environmental impact.

Vibratory Tumblers
Our vibratory tumblers are used to deburr, radius, descale, burnish, clean, and brighten a large number of relatively small workpieces. In this batch-type process, abrasive pellets or other media are added to the tumblers along with the workpieces. Then, the tumbler and all it’s contents begin to vibrate, causing friction between the media and the workpiece, producing the desired effect. For the most part, this process is unmanned and therefore requires far lower production costs than being finished manually. The vibratory bowl has an open top, allowing desired finishes to be monitored.

Various Fettling Tools
Fettling tools are used to give a superior finish, when it is unsuitable to use a vibratory tumbler, due to size, form or quantity. Such tools include brushing, grinding and air fed belt sanding tools. All finishing equipment is used along side an environmentally friendly dust extraction system which also helps to maintain the cleanliness of the facilities.
